Horse Art
Horse Art: On the subject of horses in horse art, the horse has dominated the art world throughout time. Because the horse has been a part of man's ever forward development in history that could not have happened as fast, if it were not for the horse. Whether the artist was focusing on a particular scene, or people. The horse was more in the picture; than not. They were our transport; and a necessity in our societies earlier years. Though I don't think this is the real fascination why horse art is as popular no, as they were then with artists and buyers alike. Much has changed, the artist is now faced with many different objects of the modern age to choose from. Though I have found myself, that I am constantly drawn back to the horse in much of the art that I do. Whether it be on canvas or in sculpture, it might have to do with the fact that I am a horse woman too. Yet I think there is more to it. I just feel drawn to this subject, something that is a bit hard to describe, though I will give it a ago. When I am thinking to do a new piece of art work, I love to work within nature, (its wild life and its animals most of all). And usually if I do art with people in it I like to incorporate the horse as well. It is the strength and the power of the horse that excites me, thinking of the speed and their strong muscles make them so easy to be portrayed in art, by the way, my subscribers get more in depth tips on how to bring through the spirit of the horse, in my free newsletter "pet art newsletter" . Why not come and join us. Wild thoughts in us are deeper than we think, they can emerge when choosing such a subject, Because we ride the horse and work with it; giving us the connection of man and beast in a union that has spanned for centuries. ""A work of art goes through many phases of development, but in each phase it is always a work of art. (Therein lies the importance of sketches.) A work of art is finished, from the point of view of the artist, when feeling and perception have resulted in a spiritual synthesis". - Hans Hofmann I have also found with my sculptures, (ok... many of my subjects lean towards horses) that they also seem to be the most popular with the public. I don't know if you have found this yourself, but I have. So in some ways horses are also a profitable form of art. So we are going to find out the secrets of the horse and art, and how we will can portray them in our own art ventures.
