At the expense of the subject, whether it be a person or a mishap, we seem to enjoy. It pleases us to see the funny and funky pictures that are captured on the camera today.

And more than ever, people are taking more photos, since the creation of the digital camera. We can now look instantly at the photos and delete what we don't feel are good enough photos. So we take more, no more expensive film to use up sparingly.
